SSQ engaged with Building & Land Guarantees in 2018 when looking to differentiate their offer to the market and add to their already market-leading guarantees with an insurance-backed option. Building & Land Guarantees were instrumental in supporting SSQ with the development of our Ultra-Cover market offering, including the administrative back office requirements that were brand new to SSQ. Ultra-Cover was launched in mid-2019 and has gone on to be very successful, with a number of high-profile projects and clients now completed under the scheme.
We have been using Building and Land Guarantees for some years, specifically to insure P.D. office to residential conversions. We started to develop office blocks immediately after the government brought in the PD rights. The market was new and we needed a company that understood the intricate detail. James Russell and his super assistant Gill Weatherill have now successfully brokered the insurance on several projects. We are currently using them and we will have no hesitation instructing them on our future developments.
